German/American violinist David Garrett's new Deutsche Grammophon recording, Immortal, is a deeply personal project dedicated to the enduring legacy of classical music. The album pays tribute to some of history's greatest composers, including W.A. Mozart, Claude Debussy and John Williams, reimagining their works through a contemporary yet profound human lens. Each piece has been meticulously crafted, reflecting David's deep musical understanding and unwavering commitment to authenticity. "If we talk about things that come close to immortality, art - especially music - stands out as something that endures over time and approaches the idea of being immortal," David reflects.
