Expanded reissue of the cult 1970 British psych-pop album For Fox Sake, now featuring four bonus tracks from three previously unheard recording sessions. Brighton five-piece The Fox paired the songwriting of Hammond organist Alex Lane and guitarist-vocalist Stephen Brayne with lead guitarist Winston Weatherill, formerly of Gary Farr & the T-Bones - a lineage that ran through Keith Emerson and Lee Jackson of The Nice. Recorded in a twelve-hour overnight session at Radio Luxembourg Studios and released on Fontana in the UK and Bob Crewe's Crewe label in the US, the album was quickly deleted; the original UK pressing is now a sought-after collector's item. Bonus tracks include two previously unreleased Regent Sound acetates from the original lineup and the Radio Luxembourg overnight takes of two tracks later re-recorded with Roy Thomas Baker - who also sourced the fairground tape opening ""Madame Magical,"" later repurposed for Queen's ""Brighton Rock."" Mastered by Prof. Stoned. Digipak with 12-page booklet. Limited pressing.
